While I love to travel, I think my introverted nature much prefers to hear all about other people’s travel stories or to get lost in a good cookbook full of faraway places and food to match. True story — when I was little my mom asked me if Continue reading “Book Club Tuesday: The Forest Feast Mediterranean”

Book Club Tuesday: Pescan
There is a simple joy to be found in cooking food that makes us feel good; feeling grateful and appreciative of the foods that nourish us. While Abbie Cornish and Jacqueline King Schiller‘s new book Pescan outlines Continue reading “Book Club Tuesday: Pescan”
Book Club Tuesday: Healthyish
It’s been awhile! Hope everyone had a good start to 2018! I’ve been on a huge break since my last review — I have spent the last couple of months free from my review regime. For those of you who are new to Shipshape Eatworthy what happens here is simple: I receive review copies of cookbooks and then I try at least 10 recipes per cookbook. Bringing people together to enjoy “food and fellowship” is what it’s all about. It’s been quite awhile since I’ve entertained — the last time was on Boxing Day for our annual “Boxing Day Ball Hockey” gathering. I made brunch and then everyone piled out into our street to play ball hockey. Originally a tradition started by a dear friend in Ottawa, we decided to keep it alive here now that Continue reading “Book Club Tuesday: Forest Feast Gatherings”
